Getting Here

Transport – This is rural France so a car is essential.

Bordeaux Airport is an hour’s drive away. Direct flights with BA, Easyjet and Flybe operate from London and many other UK and European airports.

Bergerac Airport is 45 minutes away and has regular flights from various airports in the UK. (See Flybe and Ryanair.)

By car – The nearest ferry port is St Malo, about a six hour drive.  Caen is 6 1/2 hours while Boulogne (Eurotunnel) and Calais are 8 to 9 hours away.

By train – Eurostar from London to Lille or Paris, then high-speed TGV to Libourne or Bordeaux.

Car hire – most car hire firms have agencies at Bordeaux and Bergerac airports and Bordeaux St Jean train station. Europcar has an agency at Libourne train station.
