The tower has been painstakingly converted into a beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable home-away-from-home, incorporating every creature comfort we could think of in a stunning and unusual property. We adored the way that the round sandstone walls and stairs give way to delightful picture-windows with views of the garden and surrounding area. We also enjoyed taking in the amazing 360 degree view from the roof of the tower – a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a glass or two of rose in the sun! Aside from being truly delightful accommodation, Gensac Tower is close to Gensac town and a great base to explore the surrounding areas, like St Emillion. Gensac town is lovely – we enjoyed walking through the pretty streets, lunch at one of the sweet little restaurants by the main square and, although somewhat less romantic, pleased to find an ATM and a supermarket, which allowed us to stock our very well appointed kitchen. Another of Gensac Tower’s draw-cards are its lovely hosts, Fiona and Mark, who struck the perfect balance between being welcoming and available on the one hand and giving us space to enjoy the delightful property that they have built themselves on the other. Overall, we had a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing stay at Gensac Tower and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends, family and colleagues. Emily, UK

We stayed in Gensac Tower in September 2013 as it was convenient for a wedding we were attending at Chateau Rigaud. We were delighted with this unusual accommodation. The tower sits in the grounds of the lovely owners Mark and Fiona. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could wish for and and the gas barbecue next to the outside decking is a brilliant addition. The tower is small but perfectly formed and decorated with excellent taste. A visit to the roof provides incredible views. We had a few visitors whilst there and everyone loved the cute accommodation. Mark and Fiona provided help when needed but were never intrusive. We took our bikes and explored the cycle track on an old railway line running through to Bordeaux which was great. The Tower is close to the village centre and with a good butcher, baker and “Spar” we could buy everything we needed when we were not eating out at the range of restaurants available in the area. We will be recommending the Tower to friends and relatives and hope to visit again when we can. Colin and Christine from Manchester, England

A lovely, quaint Airbnb with perfect hosts.
